This book was made by Mia Nolting at the end of a 12-month term as an Artist-in-Residence-in-Motherhood. It is a scrapbook and, like the first year of raising a baby, is nonlinear and disorganized. It is half-finished and was put together during small fragments of time over the course of several months.
Includes a year’s worth of plant drawings, made during the fleeting moments of infant naptime, as well as notes, fragments, screenshots, and excerpts from books and articles that speak to the experience of early motherhood.
Soft-cover, perfect bound; 166 pages, 4.25 x 6.88 inches
